LyX and TeXmacs

LyX and TeXmacs are two TeX editors that make using TeX much easier. I prefer them because they both can run on Linux, and are close to ‘what you see is what you get’ with math equations. When writing long math equations, I think WYSIWYG is better than pure TeX code.

An online tool TeXer is also good if you just want a graphic of a equation.
